The Salem Youth Football Wildcats competed against Fairfield this weekend. The 3/4 grade team won 38-8. Emit Gibson scored along with Tanner Purintun, EJ Wolfe, Davian Johnston and Ben Lux.
The 5/6 grade team won 36-0. Kyler King had 4 touchdowns. Willie Vincent also scored with Owen Tennyson and Cole Beard each adding 2 point conversions. They are now 4-0.
The varsity Cats won 20-16. Angel Salgado scored a pair of touchdowns while Marquis Ettress scored on a 50-yard run. Preston Camp recovered an onside kick at the start of the 2nd half that led to a TD drive which proved to be the game winning score. The varsity is now 3-1.
All 3 teams will be at home again next Saturday against Red Hill.
