John Taylor, 63, of Centralia, passed away Friday, August 26, 2022, at his home.www.sutherlandfuneralhome.com and the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home Facebook Page.
He was born July 2, 1959, in Centralia, the son of Norman Taylor and Rita (Santel) Taylor. He married Cindy Summers on May 19, 2007, and she survives. In addition to his wife of 15 years, Cindy Taylor of Centralia, John is also survived by his daughter: Cassie Stover and husband Chris of Centralia; two grandchildren: Abe Stover and Ameila Stover; his brother: David Taylor and wife Holly of Lebanon, MO; three nieces and a nephew: Amanda Copple and husband Matt of Centralia, Melissa Defend and husband Ryan of Centralia, Raven Ament and husband Chris of Lancaster, CA, and Nathan Taylor and wife Liz of Centralia; brother-in-law: Barry Summers of Centralia; and sister-in-law: Robin Peek and husband Stan of Rosamond, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, his great-niece: Alyssa Heath, and his father and mother-in-law: Dallas and Florence Summers. John worked for Canadian National Railroad for 20-plus years. He had a passion for working with horses and being outdoors. He enjoyed Cardinal baseball and watching Westerns. John cherished the time he spent with his family and friends. Funeral Services for John Taylor will be held Thursday, September 1, 2022, at 1:00 PM at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia with Father Steven Pautler officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia. Visitation will be held Thursday from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
