Donna Joyce Lowery, 77, of Centralia passed away at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo, on August 6th, 2022. Donna was born January 31, 1945, in Centralia, the daughter of Wayne and Elsie (Benifiel) Etheridge.
Donna married Michael Lowery in Clinton County on October 23, 1963 and he survives her.
Donna is also survived by two sons; Troy Lowery and wife Penny, and Shawn Lowery all of Shattuc, Illinois. Three grandchildren; Aaron Lowery of Hoffman, John Clewis and wife Katrina of Salem, and Danielle Boothman and husband Bo of Centralia, Four great-grandchildren; Braedyn Lowery, Ava Lowery, Aries Lowery, and Lainey Boothman. Donna is survived by a sister; Sandra Davis of Centralia; and several nieces and nephews.Donna is preceded in death by her parents, one brother; Billy Ray Etheridge, and a great-grandson; Orion Augustus Lowery.
Donna was a homemaker her whole life and took pride in working long hours to take care of her home and property. Donna was big in the Humane Society here in Centralia and also St. Louis area, she was always trying to help with finding a home for any animal and making sure they were taken care of, Donna was a very caring and compassionate person who loved her family and friends and loved spending time with them.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at The Hillcrest Memorial Park in Sandoval, Illinois at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Steve Upchurch officiating.
