Marion County Health Department reports six new COVID-19 cases on Thursday

The Marion County Health Department is reporting six new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday. The cases involve one person who was fully vaccinated and three are school age. Three of the cases are considered community spread and the other three spread from household or close contacts. None of the cases on Thursday were linked to the Salem factory outbreak and none were long term care residents. Cases range from a girl under six to a man in his 60s.

There are now 125 active cases, including 107 who are on home isolation and 18 who are hospitalized. Four of those in the hospital are on ventilators. No one was
released from isolation on Thursday.
