Salem high school student Caroline Foltz has been awarded to the USA Swimming 2020-2021 Scholastic All American Team. Each year USA Swimming selects a Scholastic All-American team based on GPA and swimming performances.
Athletes are required to have a GPA of 3.5 or above and have swum a Winter Junior Nationals or greater qualifying time during the academic year.
Caroline boasted at 4.3 GPA and made both winter junior and US Open qualifying times in December 2020 and March 2021.
She is one of Two students in the St. Louis area who were selected. Around 1000 athletes are selected each year.
