The Centralia City Council Monday night gave final approval to a zoning change to allow for the Moose Family Center at 1824 South Poplar Street to become the new home to Wayne Trucking.
Community Development Director Gayla Harting says the planning commission had already approved the change from Highway Business to Light Industrial.
“This is a local company who is completely ran out of space and is even looking out of town to move. The zoning across the street from them is surrounded all the way around so it’s legal for us to do and with moving that zoning they are able to purchase that property and move their business there.”
Harting says the building will be used for storage and transfer.
