The City of Centralia hosts its first Summer Market on Saturday.

Mayor Bryan Kuder says there will be a lot of vendors from ten to four on Saturday.

“We have upwards of 50 different vendors, crafts, food trucks, we will have them scattered out from the 100 block of South Locust and the 100 block of East Locust.  There has been a lot of interest and a lot of people have reached out to us at city hall asking to come and set up their wares.  We expect a lot of people to be in downtown Centralia on Saturday,” said Kuder.

Centralia’s very own Latavia Maines will be back in town for the first time since her attempt to make the Olympics.  Kuder will present a proclamation to her in front of city hall at eleven am.   She will also be signing autographs.

There will also be a coloring contest, a free bounce house for the kids, and a Chalk it Up for chalk artists.

The 100 block of South Locust and 100 block of East Broadway will be closed to traffic from eight am to five pm for the event as well as set up and tear down.
