The Selmaville School District has approved its Return to School Plan.

Superintendent Robin Brooks says all students will attend class full days five days a week with the only remote learning allowed for students on COVID-19 isolation. He reports that masks will be recommended for all unvaccinated adults and students, but will not be required. Brooks says the only exception will be on busses, where they are required by the Centers for Disease Control. As a precaution, Brooks says they will limit visitors to the school and will once again have parents wait outside to put up their children.

Registration for Selmaville students is planned for next Monday from 11 am to 7 pm and next Tuesday from eight am to three pm. A Back to School Party at the Salem Aquatic Center is planned for August 10th from five to seven pm. The first day of school for Selmaville Students will be August 17th, with a
teacher’s workday the prior day.

Brooks reports a $12,000 bid was approved to blacktop the front and rear drives, playground and parking lot. Brooks says the expanded playground equipment remains on backorder and isn't expected to arrive until late August or September.
