The Salem Aquatic Center is planning a night swim party after the pool is able to reopen following the large swim meet that will cancel the general swim on Saturday.
Public Works Director Annette Brushwitz explains what is all planned.
“We have done like a back to school event in the past so this will take place instead of that. With every paid admission everyone gets a ticket for a free hot dog, chips and drink. I’m sure they will have games and giveaways they will do throughout the evening. And a chance for people to come out and swim under the lights like a lot of people like. We will start at 5pm and close at 10.”
Fat Wallet will be playing live music for the event.
The cost is $5. No swim passes can be used for the special event.
