Two Centralia men have been charged in Clinton County Court with multiple offenses following a weekend incident that reportedly took place at Tipsy’s Bar in Carlyle.
Bond was set at $100,000 apiece for 35-year-old Michael Burton and 49-year-old Bryson Williams on Class X charges of armed robbery without a firearm, as well as robbery, aggravated battery, and mob action. In addition, Williams faces a second aggravated battery charge. Both men list addresses on Forest Park Drive in Centralia.
If released on bond, both men were ordered to have no contact with the victim or residence, any witnesses, or any bar or tavern.
No details have been released about the incident that led to the charges.
