Salem Police arrested a Glen Carbon man on both possession of methamphetamine and an outstanding Effingham County felony warrant after learning he was at a west-side motel. After Sean Polacek was taken into custody on the warrant, they discovered he had less than five grams of methamphetamine in his possession. The warrant was issued in a pending possession of methamphetamine charge. The bond on the warrant is set at $7,500.
Centralia Police arrested 31-year-old Jaimee Clark of Walnut Hill for possession of a controlled substance and possession of meth after initially taking her into custody on a Marion County felony warrant. The warrant was for failure to appear on a possession of methamphetamine conviction. The bond is $5,000. Police say Clark was stopped while walking outside a bar.
Both were taken to the Marion County Jail where they remained Sunday.
