Salem Police say three people went to Salem Township Hospital for treatment of injuries following a three vehicle crash on the north side of Salem late Thursday night.
Police report the crash occurred when 64-year-old Dana Harrell of South Vincent in Salem lost control while southbound on the 1500 block of North Broadway during a heavy rain storm. Her car crossed the centerline and struck a vehicle driven by 64-year-old Clara Osborne of Martin Road in Alma nearly head on.
Both vehicle ran into the east side ditch and was not visible to a vehicle driven by 29-year-old Kyle Monical of Kinmundy who sideswiped Harrell’s vehicle.
Osborne was initially trapped in her vehicle until helped out by witnesses at the scene. She was taken to Salem Township Hospital by ambulance.
Harrell and a passenger in her vehicle, 62-year-old Ray Adams of Pana, both went to Salem Township Hospital by private vehicle to be checked.
Harrell was ticketed for improper lane usage and improper lane usage.
The crash occurred at 10:08 Thursday night.
