The Marion County Board has issued a new Class A liquor license.
The license was granted to Allan Meyer who is renovating a building at 1213 South Broadway just south of the Casey’s Store on Salem’s south side.
Meyer has confirmed the building is in the county and not within the Salem City Limits. He is calling his business Rambo Lucky Slots. It will serve beer and wine, free snacks, and feature six video gaming machines.
Meyer’s goal is to have the business open by October first.
Meanwhile, the owner of the Omega Store notified the board he would be seeking their permission to sell liquor off-premise at two rodeos planned for September and October in rural Kinmundy. Chuck Rose says they will look at doing more if the experiment goes well.
