The Salem 10u Wildcats were well on their way to punching their ticket to the District Championship at Mt Carmel when they scored 12 runs in the first inning to take a 12-0 lead on Lawrenceville in the top of the 2nd.  That’s when the rain came and stopped the contest.  Salem will return tonight to look to finish off their semifinal win and move into Thursday’s championship where they would have to lose twice to be eliminated.  Mt Carmel and Olney will play in an elimination game with that winner playing the loser of Salem Lawrenceville for the other trip to the championship.  Bentley Bryan tripled, Owen Tennyson had a hit and 2 runs, Colten Tockstein drove in 2 with RBI also from Kai Graham and Zane Applegate.

In 11u play, Salem’s time at Olney is done after being eliminated.  Last night Robinson beat Olney 10-0 in the best of 3 championship series.

The 12u Salem District Wildcats are in elimination action today at Robinson when they take on the hosts at 6pm.
