The SC 13u Storm Chasers won the Arcola Tournament beating the Illini Krush in the championship 7-6. Sc scored a pair of runs in the sixth tied at 5 to take the lead. Braden Rector tripled. Colton Shelton drove in a run and scored as he also was the winning pitcher. He allowed 8 hits and 4 earned runs with 8 strikeouts in the complete game victory.
To get to the title game, SC knocked off the Windy City Brewers 13-5 scoring 12 runs in the 2nd inning. Driving in 2 each for the Storm Chasers were Ian Jones, Cody Beard, CJ Allison and Chase Guerrettez. Colton Rogers and Rector added RBI. Trevan Sidwell was the winning pitcher going 4 innings allowing 4 hits and no runs. Guerrettez also worked an inning.
SC opened tournament play Saturday with a 7-4 win over the Illini Krush 7-4. Brody Collier and Sidwell drove in 2 each with RBI also from Rector and Shelton.
