Bond has been set at $15,000 for a 26-year-old Centralia man who was formally charged in Marion County Court on Thursday with aggravated battery.
Perry Nesbitt is accused of striking another man with a metal pipe sending the victim to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment of multiple lacerations.
Centralia Police say the incident occurred after the alleged victim had gone to a home in the 13-hundred block of South Elm to pick up some belongings.
Nesbitt had the public defender appointed to represent him. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim if he is able to post bond.
