A Centralia home received considerable damage in a fire blamed on a wiring issue.

Firemen responded to the Justin Pruntey and Angel Evilsizer home at 438 Fayette Street after Evilsizer woke up to discover the house was on fire. She was able to get out safely with her two dogs. Pruntey was at work at the time.

Centralia Fire Chief John Lynch says the fire appears to have starting in wiring in the basement. The fire then came up a wire chase and spread into the kitchen and dining room where heavy fire damage was reported. The fire was beginning to move into the attic when firemen got a stop. There was moderate smoke
damage reported throughout the home.
