Tri-County Electric Cooperative has announced that the Annual Membership Meeting will be held this Saturday at the Cooperative’s office located at 3906 Broadway Street in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
Doors will open for registration at 8:30 a.m. A live line demonstration will begin on stage at 9:00 a.m. The business meeting will start at 10:00 a.m.
Business from 2020 and 2021 will be conducted consecutively during the meeting since the annual meeting had to be canceled last year due to COVID-19 concerns.
Each member registering before the business meeting begins at 10:00 a.m. will receive a $10 credit on their August electric bill.
There will be a children’s photo booth area available for you to take pictures of your children in a real lineman’s bucket. Children will also get a pretend hard hat and an electrical safety coloring book. While we have chosen to forego the bounce house area this year as a precaution, we do plan on having a drawing for four lucky kids to win a Tri-County Electric Cooperative branded toy bucket truck.
Members will also have a chance to win one of the many bill credits that will be in the prize drawing at the end of the meeting. Candidates running for the 2020 and 2021 elections had their biographies published in the June issue of the Hi-Lites newsletter, along with the official annual meeting notice.
Breakfast and lemon shakeups will NOT be served this year. Upon exiting, members will be given a boxed lunch prepared by Big Boy BBQ with BBQ sandwiches and chips.
Members are encouraged to complete and bring the registration form from their Hi-Lites magazine to make registration easier.
