Salem Police arrested two people when investigating a threatening video call to a third person that included display of a gun.
Police say the incident followed a non-physical confrontation at the Salem Huck’s Store between the alleged victim and the two others who left in a car.
After being hooked into the video call, Salem Police located the person allegedly placing the call, 19-year-old Christopher Goff of the 900 block of North Broadway at his home.
Police say the person who answered the door, 22-year-old Damond Crosby of South College in Salem, initially said Goff was there until learning police wanted to talk to Goff. Crosby was arrested for alleged obstruction of justice when refusing to spell his first name for police.
Another resident of the home then told police Goff was there and brought him to the door. Goff was arrested for aggravated assault for allegedly making the threatening call.
Goff posted $150 bond after being taken to the Marion County Jail while Crosby was given a notice to appear on the obstructing charge.
