The Marion County Health Department is reporting 16 new positive COVID-19 cases over the 12 day period ending on June 30th.
Fourteen of the new cases are considered community spread and two are the result of household or close contacts. None of the cases involved long term care residents or students. The ages of the new positive cases range from one boy under three to a female in her 80s.
There are now 13 active cases in Marion County, including two who are in the hospital. Ten recovered and were released from isolation during the 12 day period. Marion County has now had 120 deaths and 4,533 positive cases of COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
Jefferson County is reporting 17 new cases since Saturday. There are also 17 cases in isolation.
Washington County is reporting two new cases from the seven day period ending on Wednesday. There is one case on home isolation and another who is hospitalized.
Fayette County has had no new cases in the week ending on Wednesday.
