A 27-year-old Centralia man was arrested on multiple charges after allegedly breaking into a Centralia home early Wednesday morning and getting into an altercation with the female resident.
Marquise Adams was taken to the Marion County Jail for alleged home invasion, aggravated domestic battery, criminal damage to property and violation of bail bond.
Centralia Police say Adams was still inside the home in the 500 block of South Perrine after the alleged female victim called 911screaming for help. When Police arrived, the alleged victim was reportedly yelling for Adams to leave. Police arrested Adams without further incident after announcing their presence.
Police Chief Greg Dodson says both had blood on their bodies that apparently came from Adams breaking out a window in a bedroom where the alleged victim was sleeping. Piece of the glass allegedly fell onto the bed and ended up cutting the victim. The alleged victim did not require hospital treatment.
The incident was reported at 3:20 Wednesday morning.
