The City of Salem has finalized the musical line-up that will lead up to the Fourth of July Fireworks display over the Salem Reservoir.

Economic Development Director Tabitha Meador says activities will begin at the band stage.

“The 4th of July will be bigger and better than last year.  If you recall we had a few food vendors as well as a concert.  We are looking to expand on that.  We have several food trucks signed up but if there are anyone interested wanting to join us as a food vendor they can contact me at City Hall.  We have a concert that will be from 3-8:30.  We will be leaving enough time between the concert and the fireworks which won’t start until at least 9pm.”

Meador says Taylor Steele and the Love Preachers who were a hit with the crowd last year will return as the headliner. John Spicer, Matt Poss, and Chain Station and LoveSeat are also in the lineup.

Meador says it is not too late for civic organizations or food trucks to sign up to take part in the event. She can be contacted at Salem City Hall. Meador says advance signup is necessary so there is space for each truck or organization.
