The Salem Wildcats failed to get any of their tennis athletes out of Sectionals over the weekend at Carbondale.
The Centralia Orphans won the event with 27 points followed by Carbondale with 25 and then Fairfield 18. Louis Lepage of Centralia advanced in singles to state. The Orphans doubles teams of Ethan Dobbs & Brock Milburn as well as Reed Dearing and Dane Burrus also advanced.
Advancing from the Effingham Sectional in singles were Evan Uhl of Olney and Bobby Powless of Flora along with the Olney doubles teams of Jacob Taylor/Luke Harris and Jarrett Doll/Gabe Walker.
