The Salem Lady Wildcats season came to an end falling to Freeburg on the road in the regional softball championship 1-0. Delaney Kell finished with 9 strikeouts and finishes as the single season strikeout leader at SCHS with 222.
Also in 2a title games, Breese Central knocks off Mater Dei 12-9 in ten-innings, Carterville 7-1 over DuQuoin, Johnston City beat Harrisburg 7-0, Nashville 15-0 over Columbia, Paris beat Shelbyville 5-1, Zeigler 1-0 over Pinckneyville in 11 innings in regional semifinal play.
