The Marion County Health Department is reporting two new COVID-19 cases on Thursday. Both are considered to be spread by household or close contacts. They were not long-term care residents or students. There are now five active cases on home isolation and one who is hospitalized.
The Jefferson County Health Department is reporting one new case and eight currently in isolation.
Statewide 674 new cases are being reported on Thursday along with 24 additional deaths. A female in her 90s from Franklin County is the only Southern Illinois death.
The statewide seven-day positivity rate remains at 1.5-percent.
