Salem Community High School Superintendent Dr. Brad Detering has unveiled the school’s new academic and athletic logos.
He says the logos are designed to build upon the school’s storied history and into the future. The high school dates its beginning back to 1874. Detering says they also hope to build upon Wildcat Pride.
The academic logo incorporates the large columns that are on the front of the high school building, while the new sports logo melds the past two Wildcat head logos in what Detering calls a refreshing image. He notes there are a number of variations of the new logos. Input was sought from all head coaches and others in the process in hopes all could begin using the new logo with the start of the next school year.
Detering says they are excited about the new logos which will also begin appearing on T-Shirts and other items in the fall.
