State Police say a 55-year-old trucker from Mobile Alabama was seriously injured when his truck overturned on the I-64 and 57 tri-level Monday night.
Preliminary investigative details indicate Tony Johnson lost control while traveling westbound on the I-64 overpass above I-57 in Dodds Township when it lost control and struck the guardrail. The truck then overturned on its side and spilled lumber onto the I-64 overpass and onto the I-57 roadway below.
Johnson was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries. He was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
The crash occurred at five Monday night.
