The Salem Wildcats got their first win of the season, winning Game 1 of their doubleheader at Mascoutah 2-1. Griffin Day was the complete game winner allowing just 4 hits. He struck out 3 and didn’t’ walk any. Quentin Purcell went 2-4. Rolan Adams and Day drove in the Salem runs.
Salem was shutout in Game 2 by a final of 12-0. Salem could only muster 3 singles in the game from Isaak Williams, Hunter Daniels and Day. Salem is scheduled to host Columbia this afternoon.
