The Marion County Health Department is reporting four new COVID cases on Wednesday and Thursday. All four of the cases are considered community spread. One is a student for which contact tracing is being completed.
There are now 11 active cases, including one who is hospitalized. Four were released from isolation in the past two days. The number of COVID tests completed on Marion County residents since the pandemic began has topped the 100,000 mark, 101,180 completed tests to be exact.
The Clinton County Health Department is reporting no new cases on Thursday. There are currently 19 in home confinement and two hospitalized.
Jefferson County Health Department is reporting four new cases and 12 currently in isolation.
Statewide, 3,394 new cases were reported on Thursday along with 38 additional deaths. Four of the deaths were in St Clair County in the Metro-east. The rest were in Northern or Central Illinois.
The statewide seven-day positivity rate has increased to 3.5-percent.
