A 25-year-old Centralia man was arrested at the Marion County Probation office on Wednesday on an outstanding Marion County failure to appear in court warrant on four pending discharge of firearm charges. Bond on the warrant for Lorenzo Cross of North Maple Street is set at $25,000.
A 36-year-old homeless Salem man turned himself in on a felony failure to appear warrant on a felony traffic conviction. Scott Steele remains in jail in lieu of $5,000 bond.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a theft of $3,200 from a home on the Community Beach Road in rural Odin. The resident reported two female visitors took the money from a coat he had hanging up. He attempted to chase the women down in his vehicle but they were able to get away.
Power Techniques on Railroad Street in Alma reported a theft of fuel from their gas tank. They said some fuel spilled in the process.
