A 40-year-old Salem woman was arrested on multiple charges following a high-speed two-county chase early Monday morning.
Bobbie Haizlip of Old Texas Road was taken to the Marion County Jail for alleged fleeing and eluding police, possession of a stolen vehicle, driving on a revoked/suspended license, and multiple traffic citations.
Marion County Sheriff’s officials say they initially tried to make a traffic stop on Route 37 south of Salem when Haizlip allegedly fled on the Cartter Road, County Farm Road, to U.S. 50 and then east into Clay County. The chase came to an end when Haizlip ran off the road when trying to turn off of U.S. 50 onto Ironwood Road in rural Xenia.
Haizlip is accused of taking the car she was driving from the owner without permission.
