Three people have been arrested on drug charges after the home they were located was the subject of a knock and announce search warrant Friday morning.
The Mt. Vernon Police Department and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department High-Risk Team obtained the warrant as part of an investigation into the alleged sale of illegal narcotics from the home at 12,224 East Idlewood Road. A quantity of fentanyl, methamphetamine, controlled substances, packaging materials, and drug equipment was seized.
Those arrested are 41-year-old Jonathan Hampton for possession of fentanyl with intent to deliver, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug equipment. 35-year-old Lewis Mangan was arrested for possession of fentanyl with intent to deliver, possession of meth, and possession of drug equipment. 40-year-old Jackie Pauley was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
All three were taken to the Jefferson County Justice Center to await a decision on formal charges and bond to be set.
