A 31-year-old Centralia man is in custody at the Marion County Jail after being arrested by Centralia Police for violation of bail bond. Taylor Jacklin of East 7th was arrested after having contact with a person prohibited as a condition of release on bond.
Sandoval Police arrested 23-year-old Devin Williams of Merritt Street in Odin for allegedly driving under the influence. He was released from the Marion County Jail after posting bond.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a shed burglary that occurred early Saturday morning. A resident in the 800 block of Walnut Hill Road southeast of Centralia reported two power saws and an extension cord were among the items stolen.
The sheriff’s department is also investigating the theft of a trailer from a residence in the 5800 block of Kinoka Road in rural Kinmundy sometime on Friday or Friday night.
Salem Fire Protection District Firemen were called to Denny’s Restaurant on Saturday night after a fire alarm sounded. Fire officials say a fire alarm was apparently pulled by someone in the restaurant, but there was no fire.
