The Salem Bobcat hosted Centralia and Carlyle to Salem High School for their first home track meet of the season. The Salem boys won the event with 98 points followed by Centralia with 59 and Carlyle finished with 21.
Topping the podiums for Salem were Frank Podergois in the shot put, Mickens and Tate went 1-2 in the discus, Lyric Black and Keaton Gullion went 1-2 in the long jump, Ryegan Warren 2nd in the high jump, Cooper Lobek and Holden Richardson were 1-2 in the pole vault. Salem was 1-3 in the 7th grade 4×200, 2nd and 4th in the 4×100 varsity relay and won the 4x100m 6th grade race. Salem’s Robbie Shober and Caiden Beer were 1-2 in the 1600, Salem won the varsity 4×200 relay and also were 3rd, Trey Clark won the 6th grade 100 followed by Salem Landon Maxey, Angel Salgado was 2nd in the 7th grade 100, Shober and Alex Spencer went 1-2 in the 800m, Salgado and Kane Huggins were 2-3 in the 200. In the 7th grade 400m, Avery Gullion nipped Payton Gullion 109.34 to 109.44 for the 1-2 finish.
The Lady Bobcats won their meet with 90 points followed by Centralia with 35 and Carlyle 32.
Finley Purcielli won the high jump, Bandy and Hays were 1-2 in the pole vault, Bullard 2nd in the hurdles, Puricelli won the 400 with Kaitlyn Bryan 3rd, Laird was 2nd in the mile and 3rd in the 800 with Bryan 4th, Purcielli and Bullard went 1-2 in the 200m. Salem also won the 4×100 relay, the 6th grade 4×100, the 4×200 and 4×400. Donoho and Riddle went 1-2 in the 6th grade 100. Willow Amburgey threw for 1st place in the discus and Kylie Engel was 3rd place in shot put.
