The bulk water machine at the City of Salem Water Treatment Plant will not be available beginning April 19th. Water plant officials say it will be taken out of service for maintenance and upgrades. No date has been set for it to return to service.
Once the machine is restored to working order, the cost to purchase water will increase to $1 per 75 gallons of water.
The cost is currently 25-cents per 75 gallons.
