Salem’s Shawn Bailey scampered from 38 yards out with 118 left in the first quarter to give Salem a 7-0 lead over the visiting Breese Central Cougars, seconds later, lightning would postpone the rest of the game with 1:06 left in the opening quarter. They will resume action tonight from that point starting at 6:30.
Other games that were postponed due to weather were Belleville West and Edwardsville who will resume today along with Effingham and Taylorville, Olney versus Newton and Red Hill against Lawrenceville.
