Columbia quarterback Dominic Voegele finished with 332 yards of total offense and 5 total touchdowns leading Columbia to a 37-18 win over Salem at Jim Finks Field.  He finished with 15 carries for 166 yards and 3 touchdowns on the ground and through the air was 14-of-19 for 166 more yards and 2 touchdowns.  His favorite target through the air was Landon Little who had 7 catches for 57 yards and a touchdown.  Keyton Mitchell led Salem’s ground game with 14 carries for just 51 yards.  Cayden Harris rushed for 2 short touchdowns and Quinton Purcell found Donovan Williams for a 30 yard touchdown strike.  Caden Bee finished with 4 catches for 72 yards while Purcell was 8-of-13 with a touchdown and 2 interceptions.  Salem is 1-2 and will be host Breese Central next week.

On the Saturday schedule, it’s a battle of unbeatens as Nashville travels to Breese Mater Dei, Carbondale at Cahokia, Edwards County goes to Christopher, Carmi at Eldorado,  Vienna hosts Chester Johnston City goes to Sesser, Hamilton County at Fairfield, Lincoln hosts Mahomet Seymour and LeRoy at Mt Carmel.
