The Illinois Department of Public Health has reported a COVID-19 related death in Clinton County.
The death that appeared on the Saturday update was a female in her 70s. It was the 90th death in Clinton County from COVID-19 related causes.
There were a total of 13 new deaths being reported around the state on Saturday. Two others were in St. Clair County in the Metro-East while the others were in the Northern Part of the State.
There were 2,839 new cases of COVID-19 reported on Saturday. The seven-day statewide preliminary positivity rate increased to 3.8-percent.
Another 145,315 doses of vaccine were administered on Friday, bringing the total number of vaccines administered to 6,188,607.
