There will be another year of Friday First events at the Orchard Shopping Center on Route 37 South in Salem beginning tonight.
Owner Keith McNeal says activity will get underway at six with an open house and service by Claude Howell, the pastor at the New Life Church. That will be followed around 6:30 by music at the Scales Music Academy.
Those in attendance will also get a peak inside the newest addition at the Orchard, the Appollos Greek Restaurant. Opening is anticipated in May. Dr. Seth Hahs and his wife Leslie will own the restaurant.
There will be a number of food truck spread out in a horse shoe.
McNeal says movies in the parking lot of the Orchard will return as part of the event in future months, but none is planned tonight.
The Friday First events were started last year to provide more activities in the area.
