The KC Blue Devils will have a tall mountain to climb if they are going to reach the summit of the Region Tournament. The Blue Devils finished 6th with an 8-8 region record and an overall mark of 11-9. They will open with a trip to 3rd seed Vincennes University, a team with tons of tradition and dominance over the Blue Devils throughout their history. The last time a team from Centralia beat Vincennes on the road, it was 1952 and the school was Centralia Junior College, they earned a 71-69 victory on that night.
Other first round matchups on Monday will see top-seed John A Logan hosting Lakeland, Olney Central is the 2 seed and will host Shawnee while SWIC hosts Wabash Valley in the other opening round game.
