March was much wetter this year than in 2020.

The Salem Water Plant is reporting 6.28 inches of rain, with the largest daily total being 2.22 inches on March 10th. That compares to 4.75 inches last March. Precipitation for the first three months of the year is up to 12.35 inches, compared to 14.4 inches of precipitation last year.

At the Centralia Water Plant, rainfall totaled 6.11inches in March, bringing the total for the first three months of the year to 12.31 inches of precipitation.

The Salem Water Plant recorded the high temperature of the month on March 31st when it reached 72 degrees. That compares to the high temperature of the month last March of 76 degrees. The low temperature for the month was 27 degrees recorded on both the 2nd and 3rd. That compares to a low of 22 degrees last March.
