The KC Blue Devils used a big 2nd half run to turn a one point halftime lead into an 84-64 blowout of visiting Shawnee.  Chris White scored 14 of his 19 in the second half as , Chauncey Hughes had 16, Jalen Williams hit 4 three’s including a big 4-point play midway through the 2nd half to extend KC’s lead to double digits.  Traeveion Jones added 12.  Adrian Cohen had 22 to lead the Saints.  Blue Devils Head Coach Brian Hancock was proud of the way his team competed hard even when shots weren’t falling early.  KC finishes their regular season at 11-9 overall and 8-8 in the Region.  It was Sophomore Night as the Blue Devils honored Shomari Tillett, Hughes, Jones, Payton Sheen, White, Williams and Nashville grad Tanner Bergmann who has been injured all season.  KC had their game on Thursday with Lewis & Clark canceled and will be back in action Monday in the quarterfinals of the Region Tournament at more than likely either Olney Central or Vincennes University.

The Blue Angels saw their 13 point second half lead deteriorate as the Lady Saints got 18 fourth quarter points from Tianne Colyer in the 75-71 comeback win for Shawnee.  Colyer finished with a game-high 27 and was the only Lady Saint in double figures.  The Blue Angels were dealing with injuries and played with only 7 dressed.  Kyra Duncan and Kamryn Peiron led KC, Duncan scoring 24 and the Christ Our Rock grad, Pieron finishing with 20.  The Blue Angels also honored their sophomores Melea Lovelace, Janiah Newell, Reyna Bullock and Nyah Ford.  The Blue Angels regular season finishes at 4-15 and 3-11 in the GRAC.  They will open up region play next week.
