Illinoisans are getting more time to sign up for a plan on the state’s health insurance marketplace.
The Executive Director of Get Covered Illinois Laura Pellikan says the thousands of people without insurance now have until August 15th to select a plan on the marketplace.
“If they are new to the marketplace then they would enroll in a plan and they would find out what type of financial assistance they are eligible for if they are. And then if they currently have a marketplace plan they would go back in after April 1st to find out if they qualified for more financial assistance.”
All of the plans and enrollment assistance is available online at getcoveredillinois.gov.
