Richard Leon “Rick” Wynn, 71, of Vandalia, formerly of Patoka passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at SBL Fayette County Hospital and Long-Term Care. Richard worked hard as a loyal employee at Vernon’s Sawmill. He was very creative and enjoyed making custom Native American jewelry. Richard will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his siblings Blinda (Luann) Biekert, Debbie (Joe) Splaing, Edith Hurst, Romana Kay Wynn, Darla Wynn, Ladonna Wynn, Timothy Wynn; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces, and great-great nephews.
He was born on May 8, 1950, the son of Wendell and Patricia (Higgins) Wynn in Carlyle. Richard was preceded in death by his parents Wendell and Patricia Wynn; grandmother Edith Fields; second mother Emma Mays; brother Rodney Wynn; and brothers-in-law Eddie Hurst, and Don Brickert.
