Still no decision on the Marion County Court case seeking to have Bryan Kuder seated as Mayor.
Judge Kimbara Harrell made an entry into the court file Monday afternoon in the aftermath of the two and a half hours of testimony she heard on Friday if the city of Centralia’s decision not to seat Kuder as Mayor over residency issues should be overturned.
Harrell said she is taking the arguments under advisement. She gave no indication when a ruling may occur. Harrell ended Friday’s hearing without saying anything about the future direction of the case or if she was ready to make a decision.
Kuder won the Mayoral election two years ago, but the city council would not seat him saying he really lived out of town. Kuder maintains his residency has never been outside the city.
Kuder is now running against appointed Mayor Herb Williams for the rest of the two-year term in the April 6th election.
