The Illinois Department of Public Health is reporting 1,962 new confirmed and probable cases of coronavirus disease in Illinois on Saturday along with 25 additional deaths. None of the deaths are in South Central Illinois. Three are in Madison County and two in St. Clair County in the Metro-East as well as one in Franklin County in Southern Illinois.
The seven day statewide positivity rate has increased to 2.6-percent. Another 120,426 doses of vaccine were administered on Friday, bringing the total number of vaccines given in the state to 4,631,122 doses.
