Senator Jason Plummer is not happy with the Governor’s ‘Bridge Phase’ for COVID-19 recovery.

He says the Governor needs to stop dragging his feet, be transparent about how he’s making his decisions, provide accurate and actionable data, bring the legislature into the decision-making process, and loosen his stranglehold on Illinois.   Plummer feels when that happens, Illinoisans can and will come out of the pandemic stronger and united.

In the meantime, Plummer says Pritzker has remained one of the biggest barricades in the efforts to overcome the challenges this pandemic created.

Under the bridge plan, once 70-percent of those 65 and older receive at least one vaccine and other metrics remain in-check the state can move to the Bridge Plan.  It allows those with proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test 1 to 3 days prior to an event or outing will not count against capacity limits.

To advance to Phase 5 the state must reach a 50-percent vaccination rate for residents 16 and over as well as meet all of the requirements of the transition phase.
