The Marion County Health Department is reporting five new COVID-19 cases from last Friday through Monday. Four of the cases are considered community spread and one from a household/close contact. The department reports none of the cases are in long-term care residents or students.

There are now 24 active cases, including eight who were in the hospital. There were six released from isolation over the four-day period.

The Clinton County Health Department reported no new cases over the weekend or Monday. The number on isolation has fallen to 32. Two are hospitalized.

The Jefferson County Health Department had no new cases Friday through Sunday and four new cases on Monday. There are 13 positives still on isolation.

Washington County reported two new cases over the weekend and Monday. Nine remain on isolation and no one is hospitalized from COVID-19 related symptoms.

Statewide, 782 new cases of coronavirus were reported on Monday along with 12 additional deaths. None of the deaths were in South Central or Southern Illinois.

The statewide positivity rate for the past seven days is now at 2.2-percent.
