A 49-year-old Vandalia man has been injured in a Sunday afternoon single-vehicle crash in Fayette County.
State Police say a preliminary investigation indicates Richard Grotts was traveling south on Illinois Route 128 in a tank truck when he ran off the right side of the road, struck a ditch, and overturned. Grotts was transported by ambulance to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A witness indicated Grotts was run off the road by a northbound truck that was traveling in the southbound lane.
The crash remains under investigation. It was reported at 3:15 Sunday afternoon.
