A 26-year-old Centralia man was arrested by Centralia Police on a drug charge and earlier motor vehicle theft following an early Sunday morning traffic stop. Landon Bone of Community Beach Road was taken to the Marion County Jail for alleged possession of a controlled substance and on the theft case. The traffic stop occurred at 1:30 Sunday morning at the Pleasant and Frazier Street intersection.
A 37-year-old Salem man was arrested by Salem Police on an outstanding failure to appear or pay warrant on a burglary conviction. Robert Garney of Selmaville Road was taken into custody after police investigated a suspicious person complaint outside the Super 8 Motel. Garney was taken to the Marion County Jail where he remains in lieu of a $5,000 bond.
